Description
The Black River is home to one of the most diverse ecosystems in Jamaica.
The river is one of the longest in Jamaica, which measuring at a length of 53.4km (33miles). The Black River got it’s name from it’s dark color, caused by decaying vegetation beneath the surface of the river. It’s picturesque environs makes boating through quite relaxing. Boating on the river makes it easy to explore it’s natural habitats, where you will see Crocodiles, Mangrove trees, different species of Birds and other Flora and Fauna.
